Pressing the Quick task entry shortcut will open the quick task entry window where you can enter the task and any related notes. You can also use the quick task entry window to specify things such as due dates and categories, to link to Daylite objects and to delegate tasks to people on your team. Pressing the Daylite search shortcut will bring Daylite to the foreground with the cursor in the Search Daylite box, ready to accept your search request.
